Breaking News: The Mets just got a whole lot.......FATTER

Watch out Atlanta! We're coming for you....in all the eating contests in America! The New York Mets just signed Bartolo Colon to a 2 year 20 million dollar deal.

No one will out eat us, no one will out weigh us, NO ONE WILL OUT FAT US! WE ARE HUNGRY TO EAT AND HUNGRY TO WIN!

In all seriousness, Colon had a stunning 2013 going 18-6 with a 2.65 ERA and 117 strikeouts. If he's anywhere close to that production, and doesn't eat himself whole one night when he's bored then we have got ourselves a nice stop gap (eh....pun intended) until Matt Harvey returns. And, even better, if we still have enough money for Stephen Drew and get Stephen Drew it will be a very successful off season and winter meetings!

Now let's go eat a damn snack!
